Yin at the Wall, Friday, April 13th, 6:15-7:45pm, Yoga Moves, 335 Main Street, Suite 203, Stoneham, MA
Come get your yin on with a twist!
Join me for a 90 minute practice which is a great compliment to a more vinyasa style of yoga. In yin yoga we come into poses and hold them for longer periods of time to release the connective tissue β the tendons, fascia and ligaments. The intent is to place mild stress on the joints and improve circulation and flexibility. Yin yoga is practiced in a cool room and poses are typically held for 3 to 5 minutes with the use of props. We will talk about yin yoga, itβs benefits and why it is so important to incorporate into your practice. The twist is that we will be doing all poses with the support of the wall! Using the wall can help you to release and come deeper into the poses. Yin yoga emphasizes stillness and prepares both the body and the mind for deeper experiences in meditation. We will end with a guided meditation. This class can benefit everyone and is appropriate for all levels including beginners. Check out the Yoga Moves website to sign up in advance - www.eyogamoves.com
